Summer is almost here, a peak travel season for many of us, and Marie Kondo can tell you how to make travel joyful. She’s quoted in The Huffington Post offering this advice:
“Whenever I go to a client’s house, I have this little ritual where I greet the house and allow it to welcome me. So I do the same thing wherever I travel,” she tells me, through a translator. “I am very appreciative and thankful for that destination, for allowing me to be part of it and absorb its energy.”
There you have it, future travelers. No need to research your destination online, consult guide books, study the customs of the country that you’re traveling to, or learn some basic handy phrases in their language.
All you need is a Kondo-esque ritual to infuse your travel with joy.
Bon Voyage!
The sound you hear is my eyes rolling. Thanks for the tasty bit of snark to start the day!
