Thanks! It helps to be socked in by cold weather. But I was also inspired by the 25th anniversary of my mother's death. She appears in both new essays that I have sent out this past week, and has been the focus of a handful in the last few years.

I don’t want to sound glib, but without cold weather and moms, would we ever write anything?

All I've ever managed to write at Club Med is my substack newsletter, lol! And a short story or two... on the other hand it's great for reading!

I was lucky: invited to be on a reviewers panel at a an international authors Club Med conference and the CEO liked the article I wrote for a mystery magazine that when I mentioned the book I'd started, he invited me back the next summer. Both trips were all expenses paid for me and my husband. Not long after, when we were in Paris, another club Med exec gave us a tour.

Thanks. Like I said, I never expected to publish so many essays (or write them). I guess the energy that might have gone into finishing my 28th book is part of it. But I also felt like one essay seemed to spark another and another..... And I'd be talking with my spouse about one having been accepted or published and suddenly I'd pop out with, "You know, I've never written about ----"
