It's aggravating, isn't it? We watched a movie the other night, a thriller from the early 80s, and nothing was hard to see, even the night-time scenes. This fad for deep deep darkness is awful cinematography and unfair to viewers.
I don't understand what other people see in "Dune"- the details are so confusing. I have read Herbert's short stories, though- he seems more approachable in that format.

I think of that all the time when I see movies that have real crowds., movies from earlier, happier times.
Why don't they just make a cartoon? It's easier to believe : )

I hate movies with scenes that take place in the dark. Yes, they're realistic, but I can't see what's going on!
